Cookie Policy

1. The short version

Frenzy Leagues uses two distinct layers of measurement, kept separate on purpose. Analytics are collected with Plausible Analytics, a privacy-first, cookie-free platform that processes no personal data and is always on. Advertising is served by Google AdSense, which does use advertising cookies; those are gated by Google Funding Choices, our consent management platform, and by Google Consent Mode v2 so they are not loaded unless your consent is captured.

The only storage we set ourselves is a small, strictly-necessary entry that remembers your league-scoring preferences (PPR vs. half-PPR, dynasty vs. redraft) so the calculators open with the settings you last chose. We do not sell personal information to third parties.

2. What is a cookie?

A cookie is a small text file that a website stores in your browser. They are commonly used to keep you logged in, remember preferences, measure traffic, or serve advertising. On Frenzy Leagues the only first-party storage is a strictly-necessary preference entry; advertising cookies (from Google AdSense) are a separate category that is held to denied until you consent through Funding Choices.

3. Types of cookies and storage we use

• Strictly necessary / preference storage: We store your selected league format and scoring settings in the browser (localStorage) so the trade analyzer and rankings open with your preferences next visit. This data never leaves your device and contains no identifier linking it to a person.
• Analytics — Plausible (no cookies): Plausible measures aggregated, anonymous pageview statistics. It does not set any cookies, does not collect IP addresses in identifiable form, and does not build personal profiles. The script is served from our own domain (datos.rpgdigital.net) so the request is first-party and is not intercepted by ad blockers as a third-party tracker.
• Advertising — Google AdSense (gated by consent): We display ads through Google AdSense. AdSense and its partners may set advertising cookies to measure ad performance and, where you have consented, to show personalised ads based on your interests. These are governed by Google Funding Choices, our consent management platform, which geolocates visitors and shows a GDPR consent banner in the EEA/UK and a CCPA "Do Not Sell or Share" notice in California. Under Google Consent Mode v2, the ad signals (ad_storage, ad_user_data, ad_personalization) default to denied and are switched to granted only when you consent (EEA/UK) or until you opt out (California). If you do not consent, Google still receives a cookieless "ping" to model aggregate conversions, but no advertising cookies are written.
• Social / retargeting pixels: None. We do not embed Facebook, X, TikTok, or any other social-media tracking pixels.

4. Analytics: what Plausible collects and what it does not

To be explicit about our analytics provider:

• Collected: the page URL you are on, the referring website, your approximate country and region (derived from a hashed IP, never stored), the type of device, and an anonymous, non-identifying visitor identifier that is reset daily.
• Not collected: your IP address in identifiable form, persistent cross-site identifiers, personal data, or any information that could identify you as an individual.
• No cookies, no localStorage: Plausible operates without any client-side persistent identifiers.

5. Managing cookies and local storage

Because Plausible analytics need no consent, there is no consent banner blocking analytics — Plausible is always on. The advertising layer is different: Google AdSense cookies are held to denied by Consent Mode v2 until Funding Choices captures your choice. You can change that choice at any time:

• Funding Choices: The consent banner keeps a "Manage preferences" / "Privacy options" link that reopens the consent dialog so you can grant or withdraw advertising consent. If the banner has already dismissed itself, reloading the page from a different region (or clearing the FCNEC cookie) will bring it back.
• California — "Do Not Sell or Share My Personal Information": California residents can opt out of the "sale/share" of personal information for advertising purposes using the link in our footer or the CCPA notice Funding Choices shows. This sets a persistent opt-out cookie.
• Browser settings: Most browsers let you view and delete cookies and site data under Settings → Privacy → Site data. Look for frenzyleagues.com and Google's ad domains (google.com, doubleclick.net).
• Private / Incognito mode: Browsing the site in a private window prevents preference storage and ad cookies from being saved in the first place.
• Global Privacy Control (GPC) / Do Not Track (DNT): If your browser sends a GPC signal, Funding Choices treats it as a California opt-out request. Plausible still records an anonymous pageview (it cannot identify you to exclude you), but no personal data is ever collected or stored regardless.

6. Your US state privacy rights

Residents of California (CCPA/CPRA), Virginia (VCDPA), Colorado (CPA), Connecticut (CTDPA), Utah (UCPA), and other states with comparable legislation have specific rights regarding personal information, including the right to know, delete, correct, and opt out of the "sale" or "share" of personal information for advertising. "Sale/share" in this context covers the advertising cookies that Google AdSense sets when you consent — you can exercise your opt-out via the footer link or Funding Choices, as described above.

7. Changes to this policy

If we change the way we use cookies or client-side storage — for example by adjusting the AdSense configuration or adding a new measurement partner — we will update this page and revise the "Last updated" date above. Advertising cookies will always remain gated behind Funding Choices consent and the Google Consent Mode v2 defaults described here.
